To jump-start our collective improv enthusiasm you are cordially invited to attend/participate in a formal masquerade held in the main dining area of Panera Bread's fine establishment.
Attire:
Formal, floor length gowns, gloves, hats, feathers, fans and other various accoutrements befitting a masquerade. Oh, and a mask.
There are gaudy prom dresses galore available at thrift stores and cheap masks at craft stores. There will be a couple extra masks to cover any complications.
Time:
Six O'clock afternoon next Friday (October 15th) continuing until you wish to leave or the restaurant closes- whichever happens last. (It would be ideal to have everyone chilling for at least forty-five minutes to get a good event).
Place:
Panera Bread restaurant located on Westnedge road. Scatter yourselves around the restaurant in order to maintain a non-groupie atmosphere.
IMPORTANT: Come dressed up and try and act nonchalant and be as low-key as possible. The effect we're going for is a sort of- "regal"/"this-happens-every-day" effect. Do your best not to giggle.
Seeing as we will be imposing on their space it would be polite to give them some amount of business. So, order lunch or just a coffee and sit down and enjoy the moment (subtly).
If you want to partake in this, but can't afford/don't feel comfortable in full blown masquerade attire, contact Emily or Rachel and we can assign you to being an incognitophotographer!
Another thing: Some people may try to talk to you about this nonsense. Don't break character, don't you dare tell them it's an Improv Kalamazoo mission (because that'd just defeat the purpose wouldn't it?), but rather just casually make something up.... If they ask about the group of masqueraders, tell them you're not associated with the others. You just wanted to grab a bite to eat before heading back to work, you're having a study date. Something boring, y'know.
As for masks, you can get some for under $10 online, but I'd suggest ordering them ASAP. I haven't started looking around yet, but if I don't find a pre-made one I like, I might just grab a simple one and put some glitter and feathers on it. Look online for ideas if you want to make one.
That's all I've got for now. Pretty basic stuff. Happy pranking!
